The issue of supplying the district has come to light despite the government having provided the sugar to the needy ration card holders (PDS beneficiaries) by the government. After the matter came to cognizance, the company supplying the truck loaded with sugar has been returned to the party.
The matter came up in the order of sugar unloading at FCI's warehouse located in Chandwara block on Saturday late evening. This happened due to the negligence of the Chhattisgarh company which took tenders at the state level for supply of materials. Had it been distributed among the Chinese benefactors, there could have been trouble.
However, this entire matter was caught in time. Also, its full information has been given to the MD of Jharkhand State Food Corporation. According to the information, after completing the tender process on behalf of Jharkhand State Food Corporation, Chhattisgarh company Bhoramdev SS UK Kawardha Kabirdham has been given the responsibility of supplying sugar.
On Saturday, the driver arrived in Chandwara from Chhattisgarh carrying a truck. Sugar was being lowered here in the presence of a departmental officer. The official suspected the Chinese of looking wet after four or five bags were removed. In such a situation, the officials immediately stopped the unloading of sugar and gave full information to the senior officials.
