Mahendra Singh Dhoni: A man from Kutch district in Gujarat has been arrested on Sunday by the police on social media for threatening the daughter of cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. A case was registered at Ratu Police Station in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Mahendra Singh Dhoni's team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) suffered a 10-run defeat during the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Wednesday with an easy-looking target of 168 runs. After the match, some of the CSK batsmen, including captain Dhoni, became a victim of criticism from the fans. Kedar Jadhav was the chief, who scored just seven runs off 12 balls.
Some users also made embarrassing remarks against Dhoni with his five-year-old daughter. The poor performance of the players has been seen trolling wives and girlfriends on social media, but this is the first time their children are also being targeted when the favorite team loses. Some tweets and Facebook posts threatening Dhoni's five-year-old daughter have surfaced. In many of these posts, Dhoni's daughter has been threatened.
