Gold prices also fell on Thursday. According to HDFC Securities, the price of gold in the national capital on Thursday decreased by Rs 32 per 10 grams. With this, the price of gold in Delhi remained at Rs 51,503 per 10 grams. According to securities, gold prices fell for the third consecutive day due to a decrease in demand. In the previous session i.e. on Wednesday, when the bullion market closed, the price of gold was at Rs 51,535 per 10 grams.
According to HDFC Securities, silver also fell by Rs 626 to Rs 62,410 per kg. In the previous session, the price of silver was Rs 63,036 per kg.
International gold price
Globally, there was a decline in the price of gold. Internationally, gold fell to $ 1,901 an ounce. At the same time, the price of silver remained at $ 24.18 an ounce.
Tapan Patel, Senior Analyst (Commodities) at HDFC Securities, said, "The strengthening of the dollar has put pressure on gold prices as investors have invested in the dollar as safe haven".
Gold price in futures market
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in December was down by Rs 147, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 50,395 per 10 grams. In the previous session, the gold price in December contract was at Rs 50,542 per 10 grams and it traded for 14,692 lots.
Silver Price in Futures Trading
At the same time, the price of silver for December contract fell by Rs 632 to Rs 60,971 per kg on Thursday due to decrease in demand from participants due to decrease in demand. Silver for delivery in December was at Rs 61,603 per kg on Wednesday.
