After the television rating point (TRP) scam in Maharashtra, a similar case has come to light in Uttar Pradesh. In this case, Kamal Sharma, CEO of Golden Rabbit Company, had filed an FIR in Lucknow and demanded a CBI inquiry, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh recommended its CBI inquiry.
After this, the CBI has taken over the FIR registered in Hazratganj Kotwali, UP capital, in connection with the misuse of TRPs of the channels. On the recommendation of the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi CBI has registered a case in this case and started investigation. CBI will soon tighten its grip on the accused in the case.
On October 17, an FIR was lodged by Kamal Sharma, the operator of a news portal in Hazratganj Kotwali, Lucknow, regarding the TRP of news channels. Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi said that the CBI investigation in this case was recommended a day ago. The Central Personnel and Training Department had issued a notification for the CBI inquiry, after which CBI Delhi has started its investigation by registering a case in the case.
In the case of rigging of TRP, a case was registered in Hazratganj Kotwali, Lucknow on the complaint of the promoter of an advertising company, which was handed over to the CBI by the Uttar Pradesh government. Taking prompt action in this case, the Delhi CBI team has filed an FIR against unknown persons. According to officials, the main allegation is a case of manipulating the TRP rating by taking money.
Let us know that the Mumbai Police had started an investigation on TRP manipulation recently. On October 8, Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh gave information about the TRP racket in a press conference. Parambir Singh had said that during the investigation, it has come to light that some old workers who were working with Hansa were sharing data from some television channels.
