The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will be conducting Chartered Accountant examinations from 21 November 2020. Admit cards have already been issued by the institute for CA Foundation, Intermediate (IPC), Intermediate, Final and Final-New November-December 2020 examinations. However, many students across the country are opposing the conduct of CA examinations, standard operating procedures necessary in the wake of the Kovid-19 epidemic, and misconduct at many examination centers. Many students going to give CA exam 2020 are seeking solutions and clarification of their problems and dilemmas from ICAI through the hashtag #ICAI_DENIES_JUSTICE on social media platforms.
These are the problems of students
The demand of most of the students who are protesting on the social media for the conduct of the CA exam November-December 2020 is about the conduct of examinations amid the epidemic. These students say that ICAI has not been issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for exam centers in view of the epidemic. Some such examination centers have been allotted to students, who are in under-construction buildings or in remote areas.
Many students shared that along with CA exams, the dates of their graduation exams are also getting clashed.
At the same time, there are many students who are seeking to postpone the examinations citing the third-wave and re-infection cases of the Covid-19 epidemic.
Many students are sharing the instruction sent personally by the institute, according to which the students who have symptoms of Covid-19 are allowed to give Group 1 examinations in January-February 2021. However, for this they have to submit the report of the Covid-19 test.
