The tournament was postponed to 2021 due to Corona virus. The decision was taken by a FIFA Council bureau that assessed the impact of the current Covid-19 epidemic on global football. According to FIFA, the inability to postpone these tournaments (Under-17 Women's and Under-20 Women's World Cups) further canceled the 2020 phase of both age groups on the recommendations of the FIFA Confederation Working Group set up for Covid-19. Along with doing this, he was given the right to hold the next event.
