It has been decided to open the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) which has been shut since March 23 in a phase of corona virus epidemic. In this regard, information has been given by tweeting from the official Twitter account of the university. Order has been issued on behalf of BHU administration. As per the order, in the first phase today i.e. from 23 November, the final year students of PhD courses of the Faculty of Science will be allowed to come to the university for research work.
Explain that keeping in view the transition during the epidemic period, a core committee has been formed at the faculty level to follow the safety protocols related to Kovid-19. Various committees will periodically review the conditions for implementation and monitoring of state-issued guidelines or SOPs. Based on this, a decision will be taken to open other departments as well. Information has been provided by the BHU administration that along with the department, guidelines are being prepared by the students of agriculture science, environment and sustainable development, medical science, veterinary science. Official information by BHU states that the SOP will be based on the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Home Affairs and state government guidelines on safeguards to prevent the spread of the epidemic.
According to the state government's order, it is the first college in the state to announce reopening after a gap of seven months. The state government announced on Monday that the state's colleges and universities would reopen from November 23. Higher educational institutions will be reopened with a presence of 50 percent students on a roster basis. However, students, teachers and employees residing in the Containment Zone will not be allowed to enter the institutions.
