Four-member CBI team reaches Jamalpur to investigate 34 crore railway wagon scam

Jamalpur The four-member CBI team reached Jamalpur on Wednesday evening. This team will investigate further about Rs 34 crore wagon scam in Rail Engine Factory Jamalpur before 2017.

It was told in the information received from the sources that the four-member team of CBI is headed by a female officer B Chaudhary. This team can stay here for a few days to investigate the matter. In this case, no authorized information has been found by any factory official.

But sources say that after the CBI team reached Jamalpur on Wednesday evening, they met the security officers directly and reached the Officer's Club of Railway located in East Colony. It is believed that after resting on Wednesday, this team will be active from Thursday and will start working here.

In this connection, this team will meet with the preferred railway officials and take information about the case. Secondly, this CBI team will also visit the scrap siding located at Dhobi Ghat on the railway and inspect the opportunity. Let me tell you that this is the place where the wagon scam was carried out. It has also been told in the information received from sources that this time the CBI team will stop here and prepare a final report. Which is to be sent to headquarters.

Scam in the factory for the first time in the history of 158 years

It is worth mentioning that in 2017, after an investigation by the, UK forces, the wagon scandal was found in the railway engine factory Jamalpur. After which the investigation of this case was handed over to the CBI.

After the establishment of the Rail Engine Factory in 1862, it was for the first time that the issue of embezzlement of such a large amount came to light here. Regarding which on 9 February 2018, CBI had registered a case for investigation of wagon scam under different relevant sections.

According to the information received from sources, earlier on 29 November 2019, CBI SP Abhishek Shandilya reached Jamalpur and took information from the local authorities in the wagon scam case and inspected the location of the scam based scraps.
