Ranchi NIA files supplementary charge sheet against naxalites in Terror funding case

In the charge sheet filed in the NIA Special Court (NIA Court) in Ranchi, apart from Manoj Kumar, former employee of private company, Naxal Krishna Da alias Krishna Hansda, Sunil Manjhi alias Sunil Murmu and Manoj Kumar Chaudhary have been charged with levy.

In the Terror Funding case, the NIA filed the first Supplementary Charge Sheet against four Maoists, including Manoj Kumar, a former employee of Ramkripal Construction. Apart from Manoj Kumar, Krishna Da alias Krishna Hansda, Sunil Manjhi alias Sunil Murmu and Manoj Kumar Choudhary are among the chargesheets filed in the NIA Special Court in Ranchi. The four accused are residents of Giridih district. Of these, only Krishna da absconders are running. The NIA has arrested the remaining three. Farrar Krishna da is a member of the Regional Committee of CPI (Maoist). The Jharkhand government has declared a reward of 15 lakh rupees on it.

In the supplementary charge sheet, the NIA said that on 21 January 2018, Manoj Kumar was arrested in Dumri police station area of ​​Giridih district with Rs 6 lakh and suspicious documents. In this case, an FIR was registered at Dumri police station on 22 January. The Giridih police came to know that the money recovered from Manoj Kumar was recovered from contractors as levy in the name of Maoists. Accused Manoj Kumar had told the police during interrogation that he used to levy for Maoists Regional Committee member Krishna Da. Later, the NIA took over the case on 21 July 2018.

The NIA investigation also revealed that Manoj Kumar used to act as an intermediary between Maoists and contractors. And levied levies from contractors for Krishna da. He was going to Krishna da with the levy money, when he was arrested. Later, the NIA also arrested Sunil Manjhi, a 15-year-old Naxalite, in this connection.
