The country's first air taxi service will start from tomorrow. Air taxi service will start from Hisar to Chandigarh route on the festival of Makar Sankranti from 14 January. This has been confirmed by Captain Varun Suhag of Jhajjar, who is introducing Air Taxi. A four-seater flight from Chandigarh to Hisar will take off after 12 noon. The same plane will return from Hisar to Chandigarh. Its fare will be Rs 1755 per person. In 50 minutes the air taxi will cover the distance from Hisar to Chandigarh.

After the start of Chandigarh service, service will start for Dehradun and then Dharamshala after a gap of two to three days. Service to other locations may commence thereafter. If everything goes well, there will be an air taxi facility from Chandigarh to Kullu as well. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream is to have a person wearing air slippers also travel by plane. Captain Varun Suhag, son of Beri village in Jhajjar, Haryana, is going to fulfill this dream. Captain Varun is the nephew of former Chief of Army Staff Dalbir Suhag. His father is Colonel Rampal Suhag.

Usually, if you want to take a flight from the airport, it is also expensive and check in also takes a lot of time. Not so with Air Taxi. You have to arrive at the airport 10 minutes early, have limited seats and the flight starts. It can carry one pilot and three passengers. Captain Varun's plan is that in the coming time he will start air taxi service on 26 different routes.
