Under the National Health Mission, the State Health Committee, Bihar has started the application process for community health certificate course from today, 15 January 2021. The duration of this course is six and will be conducted through IGNOU. Candidates who have successfully completed this course will be appointed as Community Health Officers (CHOs) in health and wellness centers located in different districts of the state. The CHO will lead the teams of female health workers, mail health workers and Asha workers etc. at the deployment centers. Candidates wishing to apply for Bihar NHM CHO Recruitment 2021 can apply by visiting the official website of the committee, statehealthsocietybihar.org. The application process will continue till 4 February 2021.
Who can apply?
Those candidates who have passed GNM or B.Sc nursing degree from a recognized institute are eligible to apply for Bihar NHM CHO Recruitment 2021. Also, the age of the candidates should be minimum 21 years and maximum 42 years as on 1 January 2021. There is a provision for relaxation in the maximum age limit for the candidates of reserved categories. See notification for more information.
This will be the selection
Candidates will be selected on the basis of Computer Based Examination (CBT). To be successful, candidates have to score a minimum of 30 per cent. Out of the successful candidates, the candidates will be invited for document verification on the basis of merit.
During the six-month course, the selected candidates will be given a stipend of Rs.10,000 per month for boarding / lodging. Course fees and other expenses will be borne by the committee. At the same time, after appointment as CHO, a salary of 25 thousand rupees per month and maximum of 15 thousand rupees per month will be given as incentive.
