Congress Working Committee: In the meeting of Congress Working Committee, it has been decided that the election of the post of Congress President will be held in May, after which the party will get a new president. Addressing today's meeting, Congress President Sonia Gandhi has attacked the central government fiercely and described the central government as anti-farmer. He rejected all three agricultural laws and called them anti-farmer and said that they have been prepared in a hurry. The meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWLC), the top policy-making unit of the Congress, started on Friday morning.

Sources said that along with the election of the new president, the farmers movement and some other issues can also be discussed in this meeting. It is believed that in this meeting, the election of the president can be cleared and the election date can also be announced.

Significantly, after the defeat of the Congress in the last Lok Sabha election, Rahul Gandhi resigned from the post of Speaker. After this, Sonia Gandhi was given the responsibility of interim president. After the dismal performance of the Congress in Bihar assembly elections and by-elections in some states, some senior leaders like Ghulam Nabi Azad and Kapil Sibal raised the demand for the appointment of the party's active president.

By the way, a large section of Congress leaders has been advocating for a long time that Rahul Gandhi should take over the reins of the Congress. Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala recently said that 99.99 percent of the Congress people want Rahul Gandhi to lead them again.
