India Post GDS Recruitment 2021: The Indian Postal Department has extended the last date for the application for reinstatement of the Gramin Dak Sevaks fired for Gujarat and Karnataka Postal Circle. Now, candidates can apply to the post of Gramin Dak Sevak by 23 January. Applications can be applied online at www.appost.in . Prior to this, the last date of application was set till 20 January. Gramin Dak Sevaks are to be appointed on 4,269 posts.

What is the educational qualification for this post?

  • 10th pass from a recognized school. (Mathematics, vernacular, passing marks in English)

  • Preference to those who passed 10th in the first attempt.

  • Candidate needs to know Hindi language.

Salary for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak

  • BPM: Rs 12,000 to Rs 14,500

  • GDS / ABPM: Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000

Special for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak

  • 10th pass candidates can apply.

  • There will be no written examination for Gramin Dak Sevak.

  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit.

  • The merit list will be made on the basis of the number entered in the 10th. (Not higher education base)

  • 60 days Basic Computer Training Certificate from Certified Board.

  • A certificate is not necessary for those studying computer subjects in 10th or 12th.
