Bulandshahr has become an agricultural-dominated district due to farming. Saying goodbye to traditional farming, two brothers in the district started cultivating strawberries. After two years of hard work, the way of farming has changed in the Anupshahr region. Strawberry, produced in three months at a low cost, is now giving eight to ten times the benefits of other crops. Under the guidance of both brothers, about 85 bighas of land in the area is now strolling strawberry crop.
Pramod, a resident of Bagasra village in the Anupshahar region, formerly used to cultivate wheat, sugarcane, maize, and pulses. Even after the cost and hard work, traditional farming could not benefit. In 2019, an acquaintance suggested the cultivation of strawberries, says Pramod. Contacting the merchant of Lucknow, he ordered the Camaroja variety of strawberries from California. One plant of another species was purchased from the Satara district of Pune for eight rupees. Transplanting of saplings in October. Used cow dung and organic manure. 25 days after transplanting, polythene is placed under the plants, so that the fruit remains from the soil.
Now Strawberry crop grows in three villages
Pramod and his younger brother Bittu are cultivating strawberries in Bagasra. In village Khabaspur, Tal Viviana, youth have also started cultivating strawberries. In these villages of Anoopshahar, strawberries is blooming in about 85 bighas of land. Up to 20 cartons of 250 grams of strawberries are released daily in a bigha. Those who are sent to Azadpur Mandi, Delhi. The cost of one kg of strawberry is paid from 400 to 500 rupees per kg.

Camarosa is a species of strawberry developed in California, USA. It gives fruits in a short time. It is also antiviral due to its sweetness. Along with Camaroza, Avtadol, SA Sweetens Prajapati is also being sown here.
Strawberry crop is being produced in 85 bighas of land in the Anupshahr region. The horticulture department has provided an 80 percent grant to farmers from the dip irrigation scheme.
