Nearly four lakh cases of corona infection are increasing every day in the country. Deaths from Corona are also increasing steadily. Kerala has the highest number of corona cases reported after Maharashtra. On Thursday, the Kerala Coronavirus Case has occurred in Kerala. According to Health Department data, 42,464 new cases have been registered in Kerala on 6 May (Thursday). This is the largest figure till date.
The state government said that 23,106 patients have been cured in the last 24 hours. With the death of 58 more patients in the last 24 hours in the state, the number of people who lost their lives in the epidemic has increased to 5,565. Earlier on Wednesday, 41,953 new cases of Kovid have come. According to the government, there are 3,75,658 patients under treatment in the state at present and the rate of infection in the proportion of samples being tested is 25.69 percent. According to the government, 6,558 people were confirmed to be the most infected in Ernakulam while 5,180 in Kozhikode, 4,116 in Malappuram, 3,731 in Thrissur, 3,727 in Thiruvananthapuram and 3,432 in Kottayam.
Lockdown announced from 8 to 16 May
In view of the second wave of corona infection, the entire lockdown has been announced from May 8 to May 16 in Kerala. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan told that the lockdown will continue in the state from 6 am to 16 May on 8 May.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had said the day before that the situation was serious and said that more stringent steps would be taken to prevent infection. After reviewing the situation with the officials, Vijayan said that instructions are being given to strengthen the ward level committees and the medical students of the area will be included in the Rapid Procedure Team.
