Addressing a press conference in the national capital Kejriwal said his government will buy one lakh onions from the center in the next five days and sell the vegetable at as many as 400 ratio shops and 70 mobile vans in the city.
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal Friday announced that the state government will sell onions at Rs 23.90 per kilogram from Saturday,28 September, according to news agency PTI.
Delhi chief minister Arvind kejriwal said Delhi govt will start selling onion at 23.9 per kg from Saturday. "One person can get maximum 5 kg onions for their family," said Kejriwal.
"To augment onions supplies to the markets, a team of two joint secretary-level officers has been sent to Maharashtra to talk to the farmers' traders and transporters to assess the availability of onion and persuade them to bring more onions to the markets."
