The fasting food is prepared from sago, milk, rock salt, poultry flour, potatoes, and some vegetables and fruits. In this Sharadiya Navratri, passengers will also get such food on the train. The facility will be available at 38 railway stations
IRCTC officials say 38 railway stations including Hazrat Nizamuddin, Mathura, Jhansi, Gwalior, Ambala Cantt, Jaipur, Nagpur, Itarsi, Bhopal, Vadodara, Jaipur, Ajmer, Patna, Rajendra Nagar, Varanasi, Kanpur Central, Allahabad, Howrah 'Vrat ki Thali' can be ordered from the restaurant located at.
During the journey, travelers can place orders by mentioning their PNR from the e-catering website of IRCTC or from the Food on Track mobile app. Orders will have to be made for two hours before reaching the station where this facility is available. According to IRCTC, passengers will have to order 2 hours in advance to get Navratri Special Food. Booking PNR will also be taken into consideration before taking orders.
