According to the rates released on the website of Indian Oil (IOC), the price of non-subsidized cooking gas cylinders has increased by about Rs 150. In all metros, the price of non-subsidized 14 kg LPG cylinder has been increased from Rs 144.50 to Rs 149, which has come into effect from 12 February. Let us tell you that earlier the prices of LPG were increased on 1 January 2020. Subsidies and market rates change every month, but no changes were made in the beginning of February. Let us tell you that there are a total of 27.6 crore consumers of LPG. About two crore of them do not get subsidy.

New prices of LPG cylinders in four metros of the country According to the IOC website, 14 kg LPG cylinder will now be available in Delhi for Rs 858.50. The price has been increased by Rs 144.50 in Delhi.

At the same time, Kolkata customers will get a cylinder at a price of Rs 896.00 by paying Rs 149 more. The new price has increased to Rs 829.50 with an increase of Rs 145 in Mumbai.

In the city of Chennai in the southern state of the country, its price has been increased by Rs 147 to Rs 881.

For this reason, the subsidy amount of LPG cylinder also changes every month. When prices rise in the international market, the government gives more subsidy and when the rates come down the subsidy is cut.
