Now that Samsung has taken the wraps off its flagship Galaxy S-series smartphones — Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra — the company’s website has also been updated with an option for interested buyers to register for the device by giving their contact details. So far, the company has not given any information on the India price or availability of the trio.
Gadgets Now has now learned that the pre-booking of the latest Galaxy S-series smartphones will begin on Flipkart starting February 14. After this date, interested buyers will be able to reserve the desired device on the e-commerce platform for a token amount.
Online reports also suggest that the pre-booking will go on till March 6, after which it will go on sale in the country. This is the same date when the devices are set to be available globally.
As mentioned, so far we have no word on the India price of the Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra, which have been launched in the US at $999, $1199 and $1399 respectively.
All three phones come with 120Hz displays, a minimum of 8GB of RAM, better cameras and 8K video recording capability.
All the three Galaxy flagship phones will be backed by the same 7nm 64-bit octa-core processor. There are two processor variants, one powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor while the other option is Exynos 990. For India, Samsung is expected to launch the Exynos 990 variant. All the models run Android 10-based OneUI and the interface is the same.
Other common features of the three Galaxy S20 series smartphones include support microSD cards of up to 1TB, IP68 dust and water resistance rating, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, face recognition and reverse charging.
