The wait for the new model of Hyundai's premium hatchback car i20 is coming to an end soon. Some time ago Hyundai released design sketches of the new i20. At the same time, the latest pictures of the production model of this car have come out. The car is to be held at the Global Premier 2020 Geneva Motor Show. But before that, pictures of the car have been found on the Internet.
The car looks sportier than ever. With the new LED-DRL bound headlights, its front look is more aggressive and bigger. However, in the case of car shape, it looks like the old model. The rear look of the car looks very attractive already and it has a Z-shaped LED. Along with this, the top part of the boot lid in the rear is of black color. You can also find a similar design in Tata's premium hatchback Ultraz.
Pictures of the interior of the car have not been revealed at the moment. But it is expected that it will get a dual screen cockpit, which comes in both Venue and Nios. Apart from this, the new i20 can get many features such as 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, sunroof, blue link connected car technology supporting Android Auto / Apple car play.
The next generation i20 engine will also get many new updates. It will not only get a 1.2-liter petrol engine generating 83PS power and 113Nm torque, but with this the company can also offer a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine in the new i20. This engine also comes in Hyundai Venue. The turbo engine gives the car great power of 120 horsepower and peak torque of 173Nm. At the same time, 7-speed DCT (dual clutch transmission) can be given in turbo instead of 6-speed manual gearbox. The specialty of dual clutch gearbox is that it uses two cultures. But there is no clutch paddle. The twin clutch design makes the gear shifts even smoother. Also, both clutches operate separately in this.
When the new i20 launches in the market, it will compete with many vehicles in the premium hatchback segment. In this segment, the i20 will compete with the recently launched Tata Altroz, Maruti Suzuki's Baleno and Honda Jazz.
At present, no information has been revealed about the price of the car. But it is expected that Hyundai will launch the new model of i20 between 6 to 10 lakh rupees (ex-showroom) in India. Talking about the launch of the car, it can be launched in the market in June 2020.
