A CRPF jawan posted in the Naxal-affected district of Dantewada in Chhattisgarh (Chhattisgarh) has died due to bullet injuries. The corpse of the jawan has been found in the CRPF camp itself on Sunday morning. It is feared that the jawan has committed suicide by shooting himself. The police have registered a case and started investigation. The police is investigating itself as a prima facie suicide. The body has been sent for post-mortem after Panchnama.
According to the information received from the Dantewada police, the deceased soldier's name is Subroto Sarkar, he was a resident of Nadia in Bengal. He was posted on the large Goodra post in the 195 battalion of CRPF in Dantewada. It is being told that he kept talking to someone on the mobile phone till late Saturday night. After this, the sound of the bullet was heard in the morning and then his body was recovered. The call detail of the police jawan is being searched.
According to a figure, 36 soldiers committed suicide in the state in the year 2019. There have been many such incidents in Chhattisgarh, in which soldiers have used their service rifles or pistols to eliminate themselves instead of using them on enemies. These include soldiers of the state police and paramilitary forces. At the same time, more than 6 soldiers have committed suicide in the year 2020.
