Dietician and Nutritionist Anshita Bhambri talks about some foods that help strengthen immunity by incorporating into the diet. These foods are full of anti-viral and immunity boosters like-
- Consuming vitamin D-rich foods can strengthen immunity, which will reduce the risk of corona virus infection by several times. The main source of vitamin D is considered to be the sun. You get vitamin D supply from the sun, it is available only after sunrise. Salmon can include fish and milk in its diet for vitamin D. Apart from this, you can also consume vitamin D through fortified foods (foods that contain vitamins separately).
Disease resistance can also be strengthened by consuming liquorice. In addition, the anti-viral properties present in it may help protect against any type of viral infection. Corona virus infection is also similar to viral infection. Liquorice is also effective in cough.
Cinnamon can also be taken to strengthen immunity as it has immunomodulatory properties. Apart from this, the anti-viral properties present in it also help in protecting against colds. Use it in food.
Mushroom also helps protect the body from diseases. Mushrooms contain beta-glucone, which has antiviral and immunity boosting properties.
