4th April, 2020
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal gave an online press conference on Corona on Saturday. Kejriwal said that a total of 445 cases have been reported in Delhi so far. There have been 59 new cases in the last 24 hours. Corona is not yet spreading in Delhi. Most have come from Markaj and abroad. It is a matter of relief that Delhi does not currently have community transmission. However, there was concern about the safety of doctors and nurses.
Patients increased due to Mark
In the Markaz case, 2300 people have been brought. Of these, 500 people show signs of corona. At the same time 1800 people have been quarantined. However, all these will also be tested, whose test results will come in 2-3 days. It is likely that the number of corona patients may increase after the test results of these people are revealed.
59 new cases died in 24 hours
There are 2300 people undergoing tests. Maybe then more cases increase rapidly. So far 6 people have died in Delhi. It consisted of 3 Marks. Among those who died there was some major illness. Currently 11 patients are in ICU. 4 patients are on ventilator.
Kejriwal told that on Friday we had lunch lunch for 6 lakh people. 40 thousand people without ration cards have been registered. Each such person will be given 5 kg ration.
Worried over lack of PPE kit
PPE kit is lacking. I am concerned about my doctor nurse and all the staff. I do not want any doctor nurse to treat corona patients without PPE. Yesterday we also wrote to the central government, we have not received a single PPE from the central government yet. Yesterday we wrote to the central government that we should be given PPE kits immediately, so that our doctors can treat patients without any fear.
Corona positive also found in patients without symptoms
Here, Dr. DS Rana, President of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital said, about a week ago, two patients were found at Sir Gangaram Hospital who did not show symptoms of COVID (COVID19), but had to be admitted due to other serious illness. He was later found to be corona virus positive. 108 employees of the hospital came in contact with these patients. They are placed in quarantine. 23 of them are in quarantine in hospital, 85 are in quarantine at home. None have shown signs of infection.
