Will rail services really be restored as soon as the lockdown ends? Truth came out from railway tweet

Railway restoration plan There were reports that railway services could also be restored from April 15.

4th April, 2020

The 21-day lockdown period implemented in the country will end on April 14 with a view to curbing the growing infection of the corona virus. It has also been clarified by the Modi government that there is no intention to extend the lockdown period further. In such a situation, there were reports that rail services could also be restored from April 15. This rumor was further strengthened with the introduction of railway booking. However, senior officials denied this saying that no new orders have been issued.

The flash message on the official website of Indian Railways revealed all the truth. The message also stated clearly that no final decision has been taken yet on restoring the rail services and a decision will be taken in a few days. It is worth noting that as soon as the lockdown came into force from March 24, the services of 13,523 trains across the country were suspended for 21 days. However, goods trains are running during this period.

Congestion fixed as soon as train services start, option required

Thousands of people are stranded in most parts of the country due to the lock-down. As soon as the situation becomes normal, such people along with the common people will also board the trains, which will increase the crowd considerably. In view of this, Railways are exploring alternatives. According to railway officials, the possibility of all trains running simultaneously is less. For congestion control, it can be decided to run trains on different routes on different days. There is a possibility that they will be run according to the booking of trains, the train whose booking is more will be run and their trips can be cut by not running the trains with less booking regularly. Trains which are not getting passengers can also be closed for the time being.

Railway personnel can join duty

News agency PTI quoted sources as saying that all railway security personnel, staff, guards, TTE and other officials have been asked to get ready to join their duties from April 15. According to sources, messages have been sent to all 17 railway zones to make preparations.

"Generally the stations where more trains open will have more congestion problems. There are fewer trains opening from Dhanbad. RPF has experience in dealing with festive season crowds anyway. Regardless if congestion control is needed So the help of RPSF will be taken. " Hemant Kumar, Senior Commandant, RPF.
