The wedding rituals of Deepika Kumari of Ranchi, the world's number one archer and Indian athlete who have brought international recognition to Jharkhand, have started. On Monday (June 29, 2020), one day before being tied up in the knot on Tuesday, there will be gritdhari, mother worship and kissing. In preparation for the marriage, the entire family including Deepika Kumari's father Shivnarine Prajapati alias Chhotan and mother Geeta Devi are busy.
After Kalyani worship on Sunday, Deepika acquitted Shagun in Ratu's house in the capital Ranchi. In the evening, there was a matkor from the shanty and then at night there was a ritual of International Archer Deepika's turmeric. In the initial rituals, Ranchi's daughter looked very beautiful in a yellow saree.
There is not much congestion in the wedding rituals due to corona virus. Deepika Kumari's parents started the rituals before the daughter's hands turned yellow. Extreme vigilance is being taken in marriage. Arrangements for the mask and sanitizer have been made for the guests. Social distancing is also being followed. The wedding processions will also come in limited numbers.
It is being told that less than a dozen baraatis will reach Ranchi by road from Kolkata. Deepika gave her wedding card to some very special people including Governor Draupadi Murmu, Chief Minister Hemant Soren. He urged them to come to bless Deepika and her husband Atanu Das. Deepika has made it clear that there will be no more than 50 guests at the wedding ceremony.
Here, the attractive decoration of Deepika's house has been done. The decoration work was supervised by his parents. Attractive electric decorations have been done, the house has also been decorated with flowers. Most of the families have reached Ratu's residence for pre-wedding rituals.
On Sunday morning there was a planting. In the afternoon, mudpathing was done, in the evening, Matkor and Harindravandan were organized. Deepika looked very happy during the whole ritual. On Monday (June 30, 2020) after Ghritdhari, Matruka Puja and Chumavan on Monday, she will be tied in the knot with her fellow player Atanu Das of West Bengal.
