Woman‘s Body Found in Cupboard, Live-in Partner Accused of Murder in Dwarka, Delhi

In a chilling incident, the lifeless body of a 26-year-old woman was discovered hidden inside a cupboard within a house located in the Dwarka area of South West Delhi. Delhi Police authorities have disclosed detailed insights into the distressing event. As per the police report, the father of the deceased woman has leveled accusations against his daughter's live-in partner for her murder. The unsettling ordeal commenced when the father lost contact with his daughter for an extended period, thereby intensifying his suspicions towards her partner. Failing to receive a satisfactory response, the family took their concerns to the police.
At approximately 10:40 pm on Wednesday night, a distress call was lodged with the police control room by a distraught man, expressing apprehensions about his daughter's potential demise. Responding promptly, a team from the Dabri police station swiftly proceeded to the residence situated in the Rajapuri area of Dwarka.
The accused, identified as Vipal Taylor, has since absconded, leaving authorities in pursuit. A senior police official stated, “Upon inspection, the woman's body was found concealed within a cupboard within the apartment. The investigative unit, alongside Forensic Science Lab personnel, meticulously examined the scene.” The father of the deceased has alleged that his daughter's live-in partner, Vipal Taylor, is culpable for her demise.
According to the complainant's account, his last conversation with his daughter unveiled harrowing details of domestic abuse inflicted by Vipal Taylor, raising concerns for her safety. The deceased woman had been residing with Taylor in the apartment for the past month and a half. Identified as Riya alias Rukhsar, the woman had reportedly purchased the dwelling approximately one and a half months ago for an estimated sum of Rs 40 lakh.
The investigation into the tragic incident remains ongoing, with the victim's body dispatched to the DDU Hospital mortuary for post-mortem analysis. Law enforcement efforts are dedicated to apprehending the accused, Vipal Taylor, a native of Surat, Gujarat. A case has been registered against the fugitive under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code, supported by the complainant's testimony. Furthermore, CCTV footage from the vicinity is being scrutinized to gather additional insights into the case.
Neighborhood witnesses recalled observing Vipal Taylor appearing visibly anxious on the night of the incident. He reportedly summoned a resident from the fourth floor to expedite the removal of a parked car obstructing the main gate, following which he departed in his vehicle, failing to return since.
