Four years in prison for Hispanic man who attacked deputies during protest in Los Angeles

A 23-year-old Hispanic man was sentenced to four years in federal prison after admitting to throwing a Molotov cocktail at Los Angeles County deputies in June of last year during a protest against immigration raids.
Emiliano Garduno Galvez, a Mexican citizen who was undocumented in the country, pleaded guilty in October to possession of an unregistered destructive device and civil disorder on June 7, 2025, in Paramount, Los Angeles County.
According to authorities, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) deputies responded to a protest at a Home Depot in Paramount, where demonstrators were throwing rocks and other objects at Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers.
