Alicia Villarreal lashes out at Arturo Carmona and compares him to Cruz Martinez
The Mexican singer expressed her annoyance with Arturo Carmona for continuing his working relationship with her ex-husband Cruz Martinez
Alicia Villarreal has starred in one of the most controversial separations of 2025 after filing a domestic violence complaint against her still husband, the musician Cruz Martínez. And although at first she tried to stay away from making any comments about the working relationship that her ex and father of her daughter Melanie maintains with the vocalist of 'Kumbia Kings', she finally decided to break her silence.
It was during an interview with the program “Telediario” that the interpreter of songs such as “Te Quedó Grande la Yegua” and “Ladrón” strongly attacked the former soccer player for continuing his business with the producer despite the lawsuit against him.
“Let them get together and do their things, that has nothing to do with me,” declared the 53-year-old famous woman. However, her comments against Arturo Carmona didn't end there, as she accused him of having an attitude identical to that of Cruz Martínez.
"I'm refraining from giving my opinion, it's very funny, how can I say anything about these two people who have a business. They're the same, they get together because they're the same!" she stated.
When questioned about the ongoing legal process against musician Cruz Martínez, Alicia Villarreal explained that she will not take her finger off the line until justice is obtained. She also recalled an episode of violence in which the famous man tried to suffocate her in front of her children.
“It was the first time he caught me like that. It’s not about whether I forgive him or not, let God forgive him. I’m not going to allow my life to be in the hands of someone who’s angry and I don’t even know why,” she explained about her experience.
Finally, Alicia Villarreal indicated that both she and her children are under the protection of the authorities thanks to the fact that the Prosecutor’s Office supported her complaint.
