Sabrina Carpenter will sing at the Grammy Awards
The American singer, nominated in six categories, will perform for the second time at the most important awards in music
The Recording Academy confirmed what many expected: Sabrina Carpenter will take the stage at the 2026 Grammy Awards on February 1st at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The pop star joins the select list of artists who will perform live during the 68th edition of the music's most important awards.
This will be the second consecutive year that Carpenter will perform at this gala and she is the first artist confirmed for this edition.
The announcement, first reported by Billboard, solidifies Carpenter as the central figure of the ceremony. After a meteoric rise fueled by her acclaimed album Short n' Sweet and viral hits like “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” her participation is seen by critics as the “crowning moment” of her career.
Carpenter is not only attending as a performer, but also as one of the top contenders of the night. The singer has garnered six nominations, including Album of the Year (for Man's Best Friend), Record of the Year, and Song of the Year for her hit “Manchild.” The 2026 ceremony promises to be one of the most memorable in recent years, with a list of nominees led by Californian rapper Kendrick Lamar, who is the clear favorite with nine nominations. The American rapper is followed by Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff, and Cirkut, all with seven nominations, while Puerto Rican phenomenon Bad Bunny will be looking to take home six golden gramophones, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. The ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+, promising to be one of the most-watched editions of the decade.
