The man was stopped during a security check by security personnel at Terminal-3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport at 4 am, officials said. Officials said the personnel on duty saw suspicious images of buttons placed in the passenger's bag on the X-ray scanner monitor and decided to investigate. A senior official said that the passenger was to travel to Dubai on a SpiceJet flight.
Saudi Riyal was kept hidden inside the buttons of the lehenga
The official said that 1,85,500 Saudi riyals worth Rs 41 lakh were kept neatly hidden inside the buttons of the lehenga. The official said the passenger was de-boarded and handed over to customs officials for further investigation.
