8 to 10 firecrackers will be fired in Punjab at night
On the occasion of Diwali on 24 October, the Punjab government has fixed the time for people to burst firecrackers only for 2 hours. In this regard, the Department of Environment, Science and Technology has issued detailed instructions to the district administrations to strictly enforce the time limit for fireworks. According to the statement issued, permission has been given to burst crackers in the state from 8 to 10 pm on Diwali. At the same time, apart from Diwali, it has been allowed to burst crackers from 4 am to 5 am and from 9 to 10 pm on the Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev.
There will be no fireworks in Delhi
The Supreme Court has refused to stay the order issued by the Delhi government regarding fireworks. Actually, the Delhi government has banned fireworks in the capital till January 1, 2023. Regarding this order, the BJP leader had filed a petition in the Supreme Court, hearing which the court has refused to stay. However, the court did not dismiss the petition and continued the hearing. The court has also said to consider in this regard.
Ban on bursting of crackers in some districts of Bihar
The Bihar Pollution Control Board has issued an order on the previous day, banning the bursting of firecrackers in some districts of the state. These include the names of the capital Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur and Hajipur. According to the order issued, crackers can be burst in other districts. The Pollution Control Board said that the amount of pollution is being seen to a very dangerous level in the four districts that have been banned. At the same time, along with noise pollution from firecrackers, there is also air pollution. That's why such decisions have been taken.
