The Supreme Court on Thursday took on record the Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case.

A bench of Chief Justice Uday Umesh Lalit and Justice Bela M Trivedi listed the petition of Shree Chitragupta Welfare Trust for hearing on November 1.

Justice Uday Umesh Lalit is retiring on November 8.

Justice Lalit will take charge on August 27, a day after the retirement of the current Chief Justice Justice N. V. Raman.
