The new prices will be applicable from October 16, 2022
The new prices will be effective from Sunday i.e. 16 October in Delhi-NCR. The price of full cream milk has been increased from Rs 61 per liter to Rs 63. Whereas, cow's milk has now increased from Rs 53 per liter to Rs 55 per liter. The increase in prices has been done in Delhi-NCR and some other markets of North India.
The reason given by the company
The company said that the price increase has been done due to increase in cost. Mother Dairy spokesperson said that the prices of raw milk are increasing continuously. Due to the manifold increase in cost, they have increased by Rs 3 per liter in the last two months. According to the company, the situation has worsened in some parts of North India due to less rainfall and increase in fodder prices, hence the price of milk has to be increased.
Mother Dairy increased milk prices for the third time this year
It is noteworthy that Mother Dairy is the largest milk supplier in the Delhi-NCR market. Apart from this, the company supplies more than 3 million liters of milk daily here through poly packs and vending machines. Mother Dairy has increased milk prices for the third time this year. Earlier in March, milk prices were increased by Rs 2 per liter in Delhi-NCR. Then, in August also, the price was increased by Rs 2 per liter in the same area.
These companies have increased the prices
Earlier this week, two companies had increased the price of milk. On October 11, Medha and Sudha Dairy had announced a hike in milk prices. Milk of both these companies has become costlier by Rs 2 per liter. Let us tell here that due to the cost of milk in the festive season, there will be a lot of impact on the budget of the common people who are already facing the impact of inflation.
