The actress Itati Cantoral, who is famous for her roles as a villain in various soap operas, is one of the celebrities who can afford to choose and reject any project that comes her way, as happened with the position she adopted when she was invited to be part of 'La Granja VIP', a reality show show TV Azteca show that did everything possible to have her on their team, but she refused time and again.
It was revealed, according to what was reported by TVNotas magazine, that the production offered her to be the host of the show that will premiere on October 12, but her refusal forced them to offer her the role of a contestant, an invitation that she also rejected.
“First they offered her to be the host, but she didn't accept. Then they proposed that she be a contestant. At first she said a resounding no, but then she hesitated because, although she didn't like the idea of ??being locked up at all, it was still an opportunity for the public to get to know her in a different way,” said someone from the production in an interview with the aforementioned publication.
The same source detailed that the executives of the company, as well as the production, were willing to open their wallets and give her a salary of $500,000 dollars a week, a figure that not just anyone would turn down, but she, presumably, she did.
“In this case the figure was quite generous. The truth is that Itati is worth it. She is synonymous with ratings and even more so if we were going to see her in a role we've never seen her in,” the same informant noted.
Although it would not have been the first reality show she has hosted, since she recently headlined 'Tempted by Fortune', this new opportunity to shine would not have tempted Itati.
“What we know definitely influenced Itati not to accept, despite the very juicy financial offer, is that she did not see herself locked up, she did not believe she could toughen those circumstances, and much less was she going to leave her daughter alone, who is going through adolescence and they are inseparable,” concluded the aforementioned source.
Faced with Itati's refusal to join as a presenter, or as a participant, The production currently has Alfredo Adame, Jawy Mendez, Kim Shantal and Sandra Itzel as confirmed participants, while Paty Navidad has already denied her presence in the project.
