Publix announces the opening of 5 new stores this year
The supermarket with more than 90 years in the market seeks to continue expanding, this time to the southeast of the country
This week, the American supermarket chain Publix announced the opening of 5 new stores this year with the purpose of continuing to expand to the southeast of the country.
According to the statement, the chain founded in 1930 with headquarters in Winter Haven, Florida, plans to open the new stores between June 11 and July 22.

According to reports as of January 2025, the chain had approximately 1,431 retail stores and more than 260,000 employees in states such as: Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia.
Publix is recognized in the market not only for offering quality products, but also for the other chains it manages, such as “Publix GreenWise Markets” or “Publix Sabor”, the latter very popular among its Hispanic customers.
