A former Orange County Superior Court judge was sentenced this Wednesday to 35 years to life in prison for the crime of his wife that occurred during an argument at their Anaheim Hills home in 2023.

The first trial against the former magistrate Jeffrey Ferguson, 74, was declared a mistrial after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict in March.

A month later, on Monday, April 22, Ferguson's second trial concluded, and he was found guilty of second-degree murder.
