The Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García Harfuch, reported that the investigations into the femicide of the influencer Valeria Márquez indicate that Francisco “N”, son of Ramón Ángel Álvarez Ayala, alias “El R1”, would have asked his father to order the murder of the young woman, with whom he had a romantic relationship.
García Harfuch explained that the investigations made it possible to establish that Francisco had allegedly threatened Valeria Márquez on several occasions and that there are indications that it was he who asked his father to commit the feminicide.
"There is information, we are integrating it, that the son of 'R1' had a romantic relationship with Valeria, he had already threatened her on several occasions and everything indicates that the son asks his father to commit feminicide," declared the official.
Furthermore, he specified that this line of investigation is different from that related to the murder of the mayor of Uruapan, Carlos Manzo, although both converge in the alleged participation of Álvarez Ayala, who was recently arrested, while Francisco remains a fugitive and is wanted by the authorities.
According to information released by federal authorities, Francisco is the son of Ramón “El R1”, identified as the leader of a criminal cell linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
Valeria Márquez, a 23-year-old influencer and businesswoman, was murdered on May 13, 2025 while doing a live broadcast from her beauty salon in Zapopan, Jalisco.
The crime caused a national commotion and gave rise to an investigation that, more than a year later, led to this new line that links the feminicide with members of a criminal organization.
