Natalia Tellez on motherhood: 'It has removed my bitterness and my fears'
The host of “Netas Divinas” moved the audience by sharing a reflection on how the arrival of her daughter Emi changed her life
Mexican host Natalia Tellez opened her heart and allowed herself to show a more vulnerable side of herself when talking about motherhood and how it changed her perspective on life.
It was During one of the most recent broadcasts of her show "Netas Divinas," the actress also acknowledged that Before the arrival of her daughter Emi, her way of thinking was very different and deeply tied to the void left by her mother's death. "I feel like my mom died, and I was on a perpetual emotional survival spree until Emi was born. I feel like I configured my life to be dictated by death and loss; I carried it like a flag, and I didn't even realize it," she explained to the attentive gaze of her colleagues. However, the birth of her little girl caused this perspective to take a 180-degree turn: "That defined me so much that I thought that was my identity, and when Emi was born, it was the biggest second wind I've ever had in my life, because I said, 'Okay, people lose' (...) When a mother dies, who is the root, the feeling is that the root of the world died, because it's your world, and when Emi was born, I said, 'I not only lose, I also “I win, I also give life,” she added, moved.
And it is through the lens of motherhood that the simple things of everyday life have acquired a special hue: “I discovered that I also get excited about Santa Claus and I am also this happy person; it's as if the Grinch I thought was my personality has been illuminated,” she shared with the audience.
Likewise, with her characteristic directness, Natalia Tellez acknowledged that today she feels happier and more fulfilled than ever thanks to the strength her daughter has unknowingly given her: “When I was given Emi, it was as if a bubble, a pink cloud, had been placed over me. It smelled like sugar; it was completely pink. Literally, Emilia has filled my life with joy, she has changed my identity, she has taken away my bitterness and my fears,” she emphasized.
To conclude, Consuelo Duval's co-star, Galilea Montijo,Daniela Magun and Sofia Nino de Rivera stated that while the news of her pregnancy initially filled her with doubts, today motherhood and her love for Emi are her greatest certainties. "I never saw the other side, the whole aspect of enjoyment, of genuinely accepting that you deserve it and that it's also part of you. You're not the Grinch at the party; you're everything you want to be. I can't believe I'm so lucky to have experienced this. I'm so happy with Emilia," she expressed.
