In a recent publication from her Instagram account, the interpreter of “Suerte” and “Hips don’t lie” spoke about the reach of this song and thanked the support that has been given to her since its release.
"We have just reached 100 million views with Dai Dai, thank you pack, you are the best! Thank you my beautiful pack, we have done this together," Shakira wrote to accompany the publication that collects some images from the official video clip.
The public also did not miss the opportunity to celebrate the Colombian's achievement. For this reason, their social networks were flooded with congratulations for remaining one of the top stars who will lend their voice to the 2026 edition of the sports competition.
And we cannot forget that Shakira will make history by headlining, along with Madonna and BTS, the halftime show at the World Cup final, the first in the history of this football festival.
According to FIFA, the incorporation of the halftime show not only aims to liven up the last big match of the World Cup, but also to have a positive social impact.
"Curated by Coldplay's Chris Martin and produced by Global Citizen, the show will raise funds for FIFA's Global Citizen Education Fund, improving access to quality education and football for children around the world," a statement said.
The success of “Dai Dai” continues to grow
Shakira released the song “Dai Dai”, in collaboration with Burna Boy, on May 23 and since then, it has become one of the public's favorites for this edition of the World Cup.
As of today, the video on YouTube has collected just over 107 million views, a figure that aims to rise to new dimensions once the World Cup opens on June 11. For this date, the Colombian will also have a special participation from the Mexican headquarters at the Azteca Stadium.
