In order to show the work better in the eyes of the government, the officials of the circle are rejecting about 40 percent of the applications for filing-rejection. The officers of Sheikhpura and Banka districts have done the most. Revenue and Land Reforms Department Minister Ramsurat Kumar has asked the Deputy Collector of Land Reforms (DCLR) of the concerned subdivision and asked for a report soon. A time limit of 10 days has been set for the investigation of the work of the CO of Patna Sadar.

A two-day state level meeting of land reform deputy collectors was organized at the Revenue Survey Training Institute of Revenue and Land Reforms Department. The minister expressed displeasure over the tendency of rejecting applications filed. Maximum 39.03 percent cases were rejected in Sheikhpura subdivision. Banka subdivision was at number two. 38.08 percent of the applications received in the areas here were rejected. Danapur, Paliganj, Barh and Patna Sadar subdivisions of Patna district were in fourth to eighth place. The rate of rejection of mutation applications here is above average.

In the zone of Patna Sadar, CO rejected four thousand filed-rejected applications in 10 days. These cases have to be investigated in 10 days. The Revenue and Land Reforms Department evaluates all the officers related to land revenue every month. In the evaluation of the performance of the CO, out of the total 100 marks, 50 percent marks have been fixed for mutation. Marks will be given in the admission/rejection only when the CO rejects the admission or rejects it.

Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Ram Surat Kumar has said that his priority is to make available land for habitation to the poor, downtrodden, neglected and the people of the lowest rung of the society. Apart from government land, the department will also provide land by purchase. He was speaking on the occasion of inaugurating a two-day state level meeting of land reform deputy collectors at Revenue Survey Training Institute, Shastrinagar on Friday. He claimed that the work of settling people displaced by any project would be done at the earliest. Efforts will be made to make the work of settling the displaced in groups.

The help of the concerned departments will be taken for the development of community services like roads, electricity, water, schools in the village or on the low land land. Forms will be issued to the people already settled according to the occupation. On the first day, in the meeting held with the DCLR of the districts of South Bihar, it was found that 109 circles have not made the details of encroachment online. No case of encroachment has been reported in Barh, Bakhtiyarpur, Naubatpur and Masaudhi of Patna. There are eight cases of encroachment registered in Kahalgaon sub-division of Bhagalpur.
