Data from a survey recently carried out by the Republican Party indicates that Marco Rubio, Secretary of State, has a 36% lead over Vice President James David Vance in a hypothetical race for the White House to be held in 2028.

Among more than 500 people consulted, 57% supported Marco Rubio, who ended up being the one who made the best impression among 27 possible candidates running for the White House.

Far behind, occupying second place, was J.D. Vance, with 21% support of the citizens.

And with less possibility of connecting with future voters, Mike Pence, former vice president of the nation, later appeared; Thomas Massie, libertarian representative; and Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida.

To avoid questions from the media, the nation's vice president chose weeks ago to declare that it would not be until after the midterm elections when he would speak about his political future.

In fact, on repeated occasions, the Republican with Cuban roots has stated that he does not plan to run against Vance if he runs for president.

And to add controversy to the issue, the head of the nation has said that he likes the possibility of the Secretary of State and his vice president being running mates, since that would send a signal of Republican unity that is difficult to overcome for whichever Democratic option is presented on the ballot.

"I don't know how you can beat them if they are together. As a team, they would be very difficult to overcome [...] It's interesting, it's something human, the human equation. I see them together and they get along wonderfully. I like them together," he expressed a couple of months ago during his participation in the Pod Force One program.
