After completing the time trial and overcoming the first two weeks of the Tour de France, the cyclist from Ensenada highlighted his satisfaction at remaining among the best riders in the competition.
The UAE Emirates XRG member explained that he continues with the same mentality with which he started the race: enjoy each day, learn from the experience and give his maximum effort before arriving in Paris.
"I'm fine, I'm starting the third week with great enthusiasm after the time trial. Now I'm looking forward to getting to Paris and enjoying the last week. I'm like the first week, enjoying and trying my best every day. After yesterday and the first two weeks, I'm happy to be in this position," explained the runner from Ensenada.
The Mexican does not rule out attacking in the Alps to climb positions
With three mountain stages ahead in the Alps, Isaac del Toro will have a new opportunity to try to reduce the gap with the riders who surpass him in the general classification of the Tour de France.
The Mexican cyclist knows that the decisive days can change the panorama of the race and does not rule out adopting a more offensive stance to get closer to the second place occupied by Remco Evenepoel.
Although he remains calm and recognizes the importance of managing efforts in the final week, Del Toro made it clear that he is prepared to look for opportunities when they appear.
"Ready to attack? Yes, why not?" he assured.
