The arrival of Zinedine Zidane to the bench of the France team has already provoked the first reaction from one of the greatest figures in French football. Kylian Mbappé, Real Madrid forward and current captain of the national team, celebrated the appointment of the strategist with a message published on social networks.
The attacker shared an image of Zidane accompanied by the shield of the French Football Federation (FFF) and a phrase that quickly went viral among French fans.
Mbappé's message for Zidane
Through his Instagram account, Kylian Mbappé welcomed the new coach of the France team with a brief, but significant message: “Welcome to your house.”
The publication appeared a few hours after the French Football Federation officially confirmed the arrival of Zinedine Zidane, who will lead the national team until the 2030 World Cup.
Zidane still does not define the captain of France
Although Kylian Mbappé currently wears the captain's badge of the France team, Zinedine Zidane explained during his presentation that he has not yet made a decision on who will play that role in his management.
The coach revealed that he has not yet spoken with the footballers, including the Real Madrid forward, so the issue will be analyzed in the coming weeks.
Mbappé received the captaincy during the time of Didier Deschamps, after the international retirement of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris after the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Zidane will face challenges from the beginning of his cycle
In addition to the sporting aspect, the arrival of Zinedine Zidane at the head of the France team has also generated comments on off-field issues.
The new coach has had a business relationship with Adidas for three decades, a different brand than the one that currently dresses the French team. Despite this, the strategist made it clear that he does not plan to break that bond.
Another issue that has drawn attention is that Zidane's salary will be above the limit recently set by the French Parliament for federation employees, a situation that did not prevent him from being chosen as Didier Deschamps' successor.
With the public support of Kylian Mbappé and a contract valid until the 2030 World Cup, Zinedine Zidane begins a new stage with the aim of keeping the France team among the main powers of international football.
