South Korea recovered another key man like Bae Jun-ho, to face Mexico
The South Koreans continue to get ready for the key duel against Mexico and where they will throw all their efforts in search of leadership in Group A.
The South Korean team is in a moment of joy and congratulations, since, along with the coexistence that the players had this Saturday with their families, it was also confirmed that midfielder Bae Jun-ho has recovered and will be another of their weapons against Mexico.
The 2-1 victory over the Czech Republic filled the Asian team with optimism, to the point that coach Hong Myung-bo gave the players of the so-called Asian tigers the day off so that they could free themselves from the pressure and this Sunday begin preparation for the key match against Mexico.
But the best came when good news was generated at the Verde Valle facilities, with the recovery of midfielder Bae Jun-ho, who is satisfactorily recovering from an ankle discomfort that kept him from playing in the duel against the Czech Republic.
The English Stoke City midfielder was injured in the friendly against Trinidad and Tobago in Utah, and has barely declared himself ready, as has Kim Taehyeon, who could be taken into account to add minutes against Mexico, so the picture is beginning to become clearer for coach Myung-bo.
The day off was also used by other players to continue recovering from the effort and some health problems, such as Oh Hyeon-gyu, the scorer of South Korea's second goal against the Czech Republic and who before the duel showed fever due to a stomach problem.
"When passing from the United States to Mexico, some players had mild symptoms of diarrhea. There were not many, but one by one they appeared, and just before the game, Oh Young-gyu had diarrhea. This caused dehydration and, as a consequence, fever," said one of the team doctors.
The specialist also explained that: "In fact, the morning of the day of the game was very difficult for him; it was difficult for him to get out of bed and even going to the bathroom was difficult. However, we had planned treatments prepared, we applied those treatments, and after lunch, he began to recover. When he got on the bus and arrived at the stadium, he was almost completely normal."
