Enrique Alfaro, former governor of Jalisco, began taking the first steps to fulfill his great dream of managing Chivas of Guadalajara, becoming the assistant coach to Uruguayan Guillermo Almada at Valladolid this Friday Spanish Second Division.

Not long ago, Alfaro announced his intentions to become the future coach of Chivas and revealed that he was studying for his coaching license at the National School of Coaches (ENDIT) to achieve his goals.

On that occasion, he said: “I believe in the idea of ????leaving politics before politics leaves you. Today I see pathetic cases where age prevents you from being who you once were. I could have been elected through proportional representation, but I decided against it. I'm not going to make a fool of myself like many governors.”

He dreams of coaching Chivas

Enrique Alfaro has not denied his intentions to coach Chivas in the near future, and therefore doesn't want to be unprepared if the opportunity arises to lead a project at the head of one of the most popular teams in Liga MX.

“I want to dedicate myself to football. Imagine, if I retire from this And if I don't get an extra dose of adrenaline, I'm going to go crazy. Football is a dose of adrenaline; it's my other passion. I'm studying to be a coach; I'm taking an online course with the Argentine Federation, and I want to be prepared in case an opportunity arises. I'd like to coach Chivas someday," he concluded. Valladolid is currently in seventh place in the Spanish Second Division, with 20 points, nine behind league leaders Union Deportiva Las Palmas, having won five, drawn five, and lost four matches. Between Valladolid and Las Palmas are Deportivo La Coruna and Racing Santander with 26 points, Burgos and Almeria with 25, and Cadiz with 21.Therefore, the team managed by Uruguayan Guillermo Almada will have to step up their game to avoid losing these teams in their quest to return to the First Division. Now we'll see how Enrique Alfaro fares in this completely different role from leading one of the main states of the Mexican Republic, where he will seek to contribute his drive as a recent graduate of the coaching school.
