An influencer accuses Cardi B's boyfriend, player Stefon Diggs, of sexual abuse
Influencer Christopher Blake Griffith responds to defamation lawsuit filed by player Stefon Diggs
A complex legal dispute has erupted between NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs, Cardi B's boyfriend, and influencer Christopher Blake Griffith, with accusations including sexual assault, attempted murder, and defamation.
Griffith filed a countersuit accusing Diggs of drugging him and attempting sexually assaulted him at the player's home in Maryland on May 22, 2023.
He also alleges that Diggs subsequently conspired to kill him, coordinating a violent attack on May 29 in Los Angeles in which Diggs' brother, Darez, and two other associates allegedly participated.
“Chris Griffith will give his side of the story and expects to obtain justice for the sexual and physical assaults perpetrated against him,” Jake Lebowitz, the influencer's lawyer, told Page Six.
Response to a lawsuit
These serious allegations are presented in response to the defamation lawsuit that Diggs filed against Griffith in October. In his lawsuit, the New England Patriots star claimed that Griffith fabricated “a false narrative” and shared the allegations, contained in a police report, with his nearly 100,000 Instagram followers in August, even tagging brands and celebrities. According to Diggs, the two attended a charity event and a club in Washington, D.C., in May 2023, after which he retired to his bedroom and asked Griffith to leave his residence. His lawsuit seeks an undisclosed amount in damages. The legal battle comes at a significant personal time for Diggs, who recently became a father to a child with rapper Cardi B. As the courts prepare to examine the conflicting accounts from both sides, the case promises to keep the public's attention focused on the private life of one of the NFL's most prominent stars.
