Starting this Saturday, November 1, and continuing until March 31, 2026, winter shelters for the homeless are available in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) announced the start of the Winter Shelter Program, which provides temporary beds for the homeless. LAHSA officials reported that the winter shelter program officially began on the evening of Saturday, November 1, with 61 beds available. The number of shelters and beds is expected to increase as winter progresses.
