Festival Special Train: Regular trains are full, now Gatishakti super fast train will run on many routes; view list

Every year a large number of people from Delhi go to Purvanchal to participate in the Diwali and Chhath festivals.

Like every year, this year too all the regular trains going towards Purvanchal direction are already full. Waiting tickets are also not available in many trains. In such a situation, the problems of passengers have increased. People are returning disappointed from the ticket counter due to their desire for reserved berth and are looking for some other option. Every year a large number of people from Delhi go to Purvanchal especially to participate in Diwali and Chhath festival. In view of this crowd, Railways is trying to ease the journey of passengers by running special trains on many routes.

Due to fullness of regular trains, Railways has decided to run Gatishakti special train from New Delhi-Patna, New Delhi to Lucknow, Varanasi. Besides, special trains are also being run on Jagadhri, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Sitapur, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Siwan, Chhapra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Barauni, Begusarai, Khagaria and Bakhtiyarpur routes. In view of the huge crowd during festivals, Railways has decided to run 02246 / 02245 Gatishakti Special Superfast train between New Delhi-Patna. Train No. 02246 New Delhi-Patna Junction Reserved Superfast Gatishakti Special will run at 11:45 pm on 10.11, 14, 15, 16 and November. This train will reach Patna Junction at 3:50 pm the next day.

In the return direction, train number 02245 Patna Junction-New Delhi reserved superfast Gatishakti special will run on 11,12,15,16,17 and 18 November. It will depart from Patna at 7 pm and reach New Delhi at 10:30 am the next day. The train with economy air-conditioned coaches will stop at Kanpur Central, Prayagraj, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar, Arrah and Danapur stations in both directions on the route. Another Gatishakti special train will run from Anand Vihar to Lucknow and Varanasi.

Train number 04494 will leave from Anand Vihar to Lucknow at 8:30 am on 10th November. This train will reach Lucknow station at 6 pm. In the return direction, train number 04493 will leave from Lucknow for Anand Vihar at 8:45 am. Similarly, train number 04498 Anand Vihar-Varanasi Gatishakti train will run at 8:30 am on November 11 and will reach Varanasi station at 11:30 pm. In the return direction, train number 04497 will run from Varanasi on 12th. This train will stop at Ghazipur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Lucknow and Sultanpur en route.

Train will run between Anand Vihar and Asansol via Prayagraj

Keeping in view the convenience of passengers, Railways has decided to run special train number 03575/03576 between Anand Vihar and Asansol. Train number 03576 will run from Anand Vihar to Asansol on 10, 17 and 24 November. This train will depart from Anand Vihar at 11.55 am and reach Asansol at 10:20 am the next day. This special train consisting of air-conditioned, sleeper and general class coaches will stop at Dhanbad, Koderma, Gaya, Dehri on Sone, Sasaram, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Prayagraj Junction and Govindpuri stations in both directions.

Special train will run between Sirhind and Saharsa

In view of convenient arrival and congestion, Railways has decided to run reserved special train between Sirhind Junction-Saharsa-Ambala Cantt. Train number 04526 will run from Sirhind Junction to Saharsa Jn on 8, 11, 14 and 17 November. En route, this train stops at Rajpura, Ambala Cantt, Yamunanagar Jagadhri, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Sitapur Junction, Gonda Junction, Gorakhpur Junction, Siwan Junction, Chhapra, Hajipur Junction, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Barauni, Begusarai, Khagaria and Simri Bakhtiyarpur stations. Will stop in directions.
