The online admission process for Class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas has commenced, including admission to Kendriya Vidyalaya Balvatika. Interested candidates can apply through the official website kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. Admission is also available under the Right to Education Act (RTE) in Kendriya Vidyalayas, with specific rules in place. The deadline for RTE admissions is April 15, 2024.

Securing admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas is competitive, and any errors in the application form may lead to cancellation. Seat allotment through lottery will take place on April 22, 2024. Twenty-five percent of seats are reserved for SC, ST, EWS, BPL, and non-creamy OBC category students.

In the upcoming academic session, Class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas will consist of two sections, each with 32 seats. Eight seats in each section are reserved under RTE. This reduction in seat numbers implies heightened competition for admission.

For RTE admission, students must be between 6 and 8 years old. Those residing within a 5-kilometer radius in urban areas and 8 kilometers in rural areas are eligible to apply to their nearest Kendriya Vidyalaya.
