Putting a Ford F-250 or F-350 Super Duty on rough roads doesn't seem like a particularly difficult task. These trucks already start from a base designed to support large loads, tow and work in demanding conditions. AEV, however, found room to take them a little further.

The company specialized in off-road preparations presented the FX370, a package that modifies several aspects of the Super Duty to give it greater off-road capabilities.

The main protagonist is a new configuration with 37-inch tires, although behind that image there are many more changes.
The midpoint of AEV
The FX370 occupies an interesting place within the American Expedition Vehicles offering. The firm already has much more extreme preparations, such as the FXL, which uses 40-inch BFGoodrich HD-Terrain KT tires and requires deeper modifications.
With the FX370, the bet is different. AEV wants the Super Duty to be able to handle rocks, mud, sand or snow without becoming a difficult truck to use when it's time to get back on the pavement.
To achieve this, the package uses 37-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires mounted on 18-inch AEV Salta wheels. The whole provides a much more robust presence, but without resorting to excessive cuts in the bodywork.
More height without losing balance
The setup also includes the AEV DualSport suspension, which raises the truck 4 inches and was developed specifically for the F-250 and F-350 Super Duty platforms.
Bilstein shock absorbers with a specific calibration for the project are added to this system. The intention is to gain travel and the ability to absorb irregularities without compromising stability, especially when the truck is towing.
AEV also worked on the wheel arches and suspension geometry to achieve the necessary clearance for the larger tires. Thus, the modification retains an appearance quite integrated with the original Ford design.
A package that goes beyond the wheels
The FX370 also features stamped steel front bumpers prepared to receive a winch and a rear bumper designed to offer greater ground clearance.
The list is completed with exclusive graphics, headrests embroidered with the AEV logo and other elements that further differentiate this version from a conventional Super Duty.
The proposal makes sense for those who want a truck capable of leaving the asphalt with much more solvency, but they do not need to reach the level of preparation of a Super Duty with 40-inch tires.
AEV set a starting price of $19,999 for the FX370 package. It is important to clarify that this amount corresponds only to the preparation, so the buyer must add the value of the chosen Ford Super Duty.
